From 1 to 3 p.m., in CCAC’s Tom Foerster Student Center, 800 Ridge Avenue, celebrate National Women’s Health Week with a free multi-generational event with activities for women, girls, and the whole family. The event features an appearance by Bev Smith, Pittsburgh’s own nationally syndicated, award-winning radio talk show host. Chef Jesse Sharrard will demonstrate farmers market cooking — and samples will be available to taste!

Additional activities include Passport to Health, featuring tips for a healthier you at every age, a performance by Just One, Bidwell Presbyterian Church Mime Ministry, and free prize drawings. All adults attending will receive reusable shopping bags filled with goodies, including a cookbook with recipes from the event.

Kids ages 5 and up can visit the Kid Zone, for a hula hoop contest (with free hula hoops while supplies last!), prizes, and games, and to taste different fruits and vegetables.
