The Annual Bloomfield-Garfield Holiday Party is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. on Dec.14 at 113 N. Pacific Ave.

The event promises a fun-filled time with snacks, music, and activities for the whole family. There will be karaoke with DJ Paris, Most Wanted Car Club will showcase their unique art cars and Assemble will have holiday crafts adding a touch of creativity and excitement to the celebration. Kelly O’s Diner is providing hot beverages and snacks for the party.

As part of the event there will be a youth coat give away to provide warm winter coats across Pittsburgh’s East End Families – registration form at https://tinyurl.com/coats4kids2024.

To ensure fair distribution, preference will be given to Garfield residents, but all children from neighboring communities are encouraged to apply. Neighborhoods served include Bloomfield, East Liberty, Friendship, Garfield, Highland Park, Homewood, Larimer, Lincoln/Lemington, Morningside, and Stanton Heights.

How to donate
The BGC invites community members and local businesses to support the cause by donating new coats or funds to help purchase coats for children. Donations can be made online at https://tinyurl.com/Donate4Coats2024. Alternatively, coats can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 113 N. Pacific Ave.

“This coat drive is about ensuring that every child has the warmth they need this winter,” Alonso Diaz, BGC chief operating officer and the event organizer, said. “We want to help as many families as possible while also creating a festive and memorable experience for everyone who attends.”
