Penn Avenue Strategic Plan Unveiling Event

The Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation (BGC) has developed a new five-year strategic plan for 2026-2030 for the Penn Avenue Arts and Commercial District, which spans from Main Street to Negley Avenue.

After months of community meetings and speaking with residents, business owners and other stakeholders, the plan is being unveiled at a 6 p.m. event Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at KST’s Alloy Theatre, 5530 Penn Ave.

 

 

Established over 25 years ago and shaped by community-driven initiatives, including a 2014-2019 strategic plan, the district has experienced significant growth and changes, prompting the need for a new plan to guide future development. The district now includes a diverse mix of businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, expanding its identity beyond an arts district. The new strategic plan will incorporate community input to address evolving needs and ensure the district remains an inclusive, dynamic, and economically sustainable community.
