At the Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center, we are proud to offer free resources and one-on-one support to all job seekers! Here’s how to get started and make the most of what we offer:
Making an Appointment
To meet one-on-one with a staff member, an appointment is required. We do not accept walk-ins for individual consultations. You can schedule an appointment by:

Stopping by during office hours to schedule a future appointment
The ENEC opens at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, and it’s always a good idea to call ahead before your visit.
Using Computers, WiFi, or the Printer
Need to use a computer, print a document, or access free WiFi? Walk-ins are welcome for those services. It is advised, however, if you think you’ll need extra help – like filling out online applications, updating a resume, or with the technology in general – it’s a good idea to schedule an appointment for more personalized support.
What to Exect from a First-Time Consultation
Your first session at the ENEC is all about story and conversation. We’ll talk through your work history and your personal story. I believe stories matter – they help shape your goals and the type of job that will really work for you. Once we’ve talked, we’ll move forward with one of three service paths:
Job Application Assistance: We meet weekly or bi-weekly to apply for jobs together during a scheduled appointment time.
Job Research Assistance: We email you job leads based on your experience and story that you can apply for on your own time.
Career Counseling Check-ins: You manage your own search and touch base with us as needed for guidance and support.
All services are flexible, customizable, and available in person, by phone, or over Zoom, depending on what works best for you.
Whether you’re starting over, exploring new paths, or just need a quiet place to apply for jobs or get some work done – we’re here to support you, one conversation at a time.
The Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center, brought to you by the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation, aims to help improve the economic and social vitality within the community through workforce development, job readiness training, career counseling, and ultimately, job placement. The ENEC Manager, Paris Wright, is a lifelong resident of the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Wright is no stranger to workforce development, he brings well over 15 years of experience that he uses to connect the Garfield community and ENEC visitors to the professional and personal resources they need to find employment opportunities and deal with a range of financial challenges affecting the quality of life within their households. In 2024 alone, Wright succeeded in placing 160 ENEC visitors with job placements.
