“Tour de Penn,” a Biz Buzz program sponsored by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, will kick off at 11 a.m. on Dec. 6 and will run until 6 p.m. on Feb. 14.

During this time, you can visit businesses outside the construction zone on Penn Avenue to pick up a map and attached passport.

By visiting the businesses within the construction zone on Penn Avenue between Mathilda and Evaline Streets, you can get your passport stamped. If you make a purchase of $5 or more at these businesses, you will get an extra stamp.

Participants who earn 10 stamps will be entered into a weekly raffle for a $25 gift card. Those who earn 20 or more stamps will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card. Each week, four gift cards will be raffled off. They can be used at any business on Penn Avenue between Mathilda Street and Negley Avenue.

Stay tuned to the Penn Avenue website for more information, as well as to find out which business(es) will be highlighted each week. If you make a purchase at one of the highlighted businesses, you will earn an extra stamp.

If you take any photos and post them to social media, please be sure to use the hashtags #tourdepenn and #proudtobepenn. You can also email them to mainstreets@bloomfield-garfield.org, and they might be featured on the Penn Avenue website.
